Legal basis

Processing of personal data is only lawful if it falls under one of the grounds set out in the Regulation1. CRM guide processes personal data based on explicit consent given by the data subject for the processing of this personal data.

Regarding the processing of personal data for (direct) marketing purposes, CRM guide takes the position that this processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of CRM guide.

Purpose of the processing

Execution of a contract

If a visitor enters into an agreement with CRM guide, the provided personal data will be processed to properly execute the agreement. The agreement between CRM guide and the visitor consists of mediating between the visitor and software suppliers. CRM guide will send the visitor an email with one or more software suppliers, who will contact the visitor, and only at the visitor’s request, with information about the software they provide.

CRM guide will share the contact details with a maximum of 7 software suppliers when executing the contract. Therefore, the visitor may be contacted by up to 7 suppliers.

Marketing

The contact information provided is used by CRM guide to contact the person with information about the services provided by CRM guide. Data collected by CRM guide through your visit to the website is also used to contact these visitors with information about the services provided by CRM guide.

Product information

Upon request, CRM guide will send a whitepaper. The provided contact information will also be used to inform you about news related to the services or developed products of CRM guide.

Leadforensics

Via the IP tracking software of Leadforensics, CRM guide determines which IP address the visitor is using. Based on this IP address, CRM guide, through Leadforensics, obtains business information of the visitor. The data CRM guide obtains via Leadforensics includes only the generic email address of the company, the company website, the company name, and location.

Screen tracking

CRM guide obtains insight into the use of the website through screen tracking via the software of Mouseflow (see: mouseflow.com/gdpr/) and VWO (see: vwo.com/platform/security-compliance/gdpr/). This enables CRM guide to improve the user experience for visitors. The obtained information about website usage is never traceable to an individual, as Mouseflow and VWO fully anonymize all collected data.

Google Analytics

CRM guide uses the software of Google Analytics to gain insights into website traffic. CRM guide does not collect IP addresses through Google Analytics. The information collected by Google is as anonymized as possible.

The data collected by Google Analytics is transferred to Google’s servers in the United States. Google complies with the Privacy Shield, providing an adequate level of protection.

CRM guide uses the remarketing function in Google Analytics. By placing a cookie, CRM guide can display an advertisement to website visitors later on in Google’s display network. If you visit CRM guide's website, the number of advertisements displayed via the Google Analytics remarketing function is limited to a maximum of five.

Security

CRM guide does everything in its power to adequately secure collected personal data. CRM guide has implemented both technical and organizational measures to ensure a sufficient level of security for these personal data, considering the nature of the personal data to be processed.

The CRM guide website is secured with an SSL certificate. Therefore, all messages sent via the website are transmitted to CRM guide in an encrypted manner.

Storage duration

CRM guide will delete all personal data after 18 months unless the personal data is deemed necessary for the execution of a contract. CRM guide will also retain data for longer if there is a compelling reason, in which case CRM guide will inform the data subject.

Data obtained via screen tracking is stored on CRM guide’s servers for 6 months and is then automatically deleted.

Data that is not personal data, such as company names, locations, and websites, is stored for statistical purposes for an indefinite period. This data is never traceable to a natural person.

Changes to the privacy statement

CRM guide reserves the right to make changes to this privacy statement at any time. If CRM guide makes changes to the privacy statement, you will be informed via CRM guide.

Your rights

Below you can read about your rights and how to exercise these rights against CRM guide. Data obtained by CRM guide via third parties does not fall under the rights mentioned below. With regard to personal data collected by third parties, you must exercise your rights directly with those third parties, except in cases where these third parties act as processors.

Right to withdraw consent

If CRM guide has obtained your consent to process personal data, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time.

Right to erasure

You have the right to request CRM guide to delete all data collected about you. In principle, CRM guide must comply with this request. In certain cases, another (legal) interest may outweigh the right to erasure, which is at the discretion of CRM guide.
